Farzana Karim, the Principal of the Royal Institute of Smart Education (RISE).

I feel privileged to be the principal of RISE- a school with gifted children, a pool of dedicated teacher and staff, a group of supportive parents who help the school grow exponentially. RISE is one of the most innovative school not only in Sylhet but also in Bangladesh. Moreover, this year RISE has become the only school in Sylhet to be used as Cambridge exam venue. Hence, my aspiration will be to create a school enviroment and culture, which make the process of creating an enjoyable experience. I look forward to working with all the stakeholders of the school to achieve our collective goals, interms of accomplishment, result and academic excellence. Last but not the least, I would like to acknowledge that our board of trustees out a lot of effort into helping us in everyway possible to raise the standard of our beloved school.

"I am committed to my assignment, so I ask that all of you show the utmost professionalism," stated the Principal. Ms.Karim earned her M.A. in English Literature from Dhaka University.

She furthered her academic credentials by earning CCELT from Cambridge, ICT from Philips Academy in the United States, a Certificate in Education from Aga Khan University in Pakistan, and a Certificate in Effective Teaching from Highland Resource College in Canada. In June 1990, she began her profession as an English instructor at Bangladesh International Tutorial. In 2001, she transferred to Aga Khan School. She was also a Senior English Faculty member at Sunneydale. Her administrative career began as the founding Principal of Neuraal International School. Later, in 2010, she became the Principal of BAF Shaheen English Medium School and College before moving on to Southeast Bank Green School. Ms Karim recently returned from Oman, where she was the Principal for Bangladesh school Muscat in Sultanate of Oman.
